Abstract

Dans ce rétroviseur, le miroir 24 est muni d'un contrepoids 34 monté le long de son bord 36, le plus rapproché de la porte 16 du véhicule. Grâce à ce contrepoids, le déplacement du bord intérieur du miroir est à peu près égal à celui de son bord extérieur même lorsqu'on ferme la porte vivement, ce qui évite que le miroir ne se dérégle. Dans les conditions normales, le miroir est certes déséquilibré mais les résistances de frottement dans son articulation s'opposent à son déréglage, c'est-à-dire à son pivotement.
