Abstract

The combination bending-press may be used to bend steel bars or other sections and comprises a horizontal press and a vertical press on a common subframe (1). The two presses may be used independently or in unison. The horizontal press comprises a fixed (3) and mobile (5) die-holder mounted on a horizontal table (2), and the latter (5) motivated by a jack-(7) powered slide (6). The vertical press similarly comprises a fixed (10) and a mobile (13) die-holder with the latter (13) arranged vertically above the former (10). The mobile holder (11) of the vertical press is displaced by pivoting leverage (17) which is in turn displaced by the slide (6). The two presses may be mounted at opposite ends of the table (2) and a tie-bar (20) may link the slide (6) to the leverage (17).
