Abstract

A shaped member (1) for reducing aerodynamic drag is a attached to the front of a semi trailer. It has a transverse central portion (2) and two side portions (3). The central portion (2) increases in width towards the side portions (3). The side portions (3) narrow towards their ends remote form the central portion (2). The front profile of the member (1) curves progressively towards its ends. The member (1) is formed in a single piece by moulding. The transverse central portion (2) may be formed in two parts arranged to slide one over the other so that the length of the member (1) can be adjusted.
