Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé d'épuration d'un gaz contenant du dioxyde de soufre par lavage au moyen d'une solution ammoniacale. L'invention est caractérisée en ce que la décomposition du bisulfate d'ammonium excédentaire est mise en oeuvre en pré-sence d'un catalyseur constitué par un composé du molybdène ou de tungstène. L'invention est applicable à tous les procédés d'épuration de fumées contenant du SO2 et/ou du SO3 à titre d'impuretés.
