Installation caractérisée en ce que l'intérieur de la chambre de mélange est entouré de parois verticales et présente un rapport de son diamètre à sa hauteur qui se situe dans la zone allant de 1 à 1 jusqu'à 1 à 2, une ou plusieurs conduites prévues pour le transport pneumatique ou mécanique de matières en vrac débouchant depuis l'extérieur du silo, dans la partie supérieure de la chambre de mélange. c. L'invention s'applique aux installations de fabrication de ciment.
