Abstract

The appts. to spread out fibre flocking material uses two opposing discs. One has openings placed densely in the middle to allow the fibre material to be fed from a feed funnel into the gap between the discs. At least one rotor on a horizontal shaft is located in the lower section of the feed funnel. This is fitted with bearing plates so that the speed of fibre travel is accelerated through th e openings in the processing disc. Becase vapour can be generated during the processing, the high speed of fibre travel overcomes any resistance from generated vaour so that an even material flow is maintained.
