Abstract

The protective device, for a bi-polar or tri-polar electrical terminal, comprises a base plate (14), fitting around the terminal, and a detachable cap (12) fitted to the base plate (14), so as to cover the terminal. The cap (12) and the base plate (14) have cooperating clip elements, to secure them together. The edges of the cap (12) have hooks (18), which cooperate with corresponding hooks projecting from the base plate (14). The hooks (18) can be released for removal of the cap (12), by insertion of a screwdriver into openings (22) along the edges of the cap (12).
