Abstract

A bathroom or medicine cabinet (1) is made from extruded plastics sections formed by two parallel sheets joined together by a number of ribs to form a series of adjacent box sections. The sides (2, 3,) top (4) and base (5) of the cabinet are formed from two equal lengths of these sections bent to a U shape. In order to bend the sections to this shape a transverse slot is cut which removes a strip of the surface layer and the adjoining ribs. A corner member (16) with a number of parallel curved fingers is inserted into the spaced between the ribs and holds the section in its U shape. The two U shapes are joined together by joining strips (10). The corner members (16) also support the hinges for the door (7).
