Abstract

L'invention concerne une étoffe non tissée, son procédé de fabrication et un appareil utilisé pour sa fabrication. L'étoffe 10 est composée de bandes alternées 11, 12 à forte et à faible densité de fibres qui s'étendent dans le sens transversal de l'étoffe, la plupart des fibres sont tendues dans les bandes 12 transversalement à la longueur des bandes tandis que la plupart des fibres sont pliées en accordéon dans les bandes 11. Cette étoffe est obtenue en faisant passer un voile cardé entre un écran perméable et un tambour qui porte des barres imperméables et en dirigeant des jets d'eau sur le tambour pour réarranger les fibres.
