Abstract
Process for capturing and storing thermal energy at a temp. close to the ambient temp. The thermal energy is retained in a fluid contained in a tank which is covered by a floating roof made of light thermal insulating material. The fluid in the tank is drawn out from the tank and fed into depressions on top of the floating roof where it either absorbs or gives back energy before dropping back into the tank. By day the heat energy is absorbed and at night it is given back. The appts. allows the storage of heat at temps. near to the ambient temp. The appts. stores thermal energy in the form of calories, collecting them during the hours of exposure to the sun. Electricity is generated.
