Abstract

The chassis for spanning a row of vines, is in the form of an inverted U supported at one side by a tractor (10) and at the other side by a non-steerable wheel (11). The chassis is connected by beams (8, 9) to a beam (17) coupled to the rear of the tractor by a ball-and-socket joint, and to the front by a shaft sliding in the beam (17). The wheel (11) may be driven by an hydraulic motor (30) supplied by a tractor-driven pump. The pump control lever is connected to a link pivoted to threaded sleeve displaceable along a rod fixed to the tractor drive.
