Abstract

The illuminated display panel has a transparent plaque (17) which carries a graphical representation, electroluminescent plates (14) and a support chassis. On the chassis is a support plate (5) onto which are fitted the electroluminescent plates (14) and the transparent plaque (17). The plaque (17) and electroluminescent plates (14) are fitted to the support plate (5) independently of each other. The plaque (17) and electroluminescent elements (14) may be removed from the support plate separately or together. Both the electroluminescent plates (14) and the transparent plaque (17) are fixed to the support plate by means of a nut, screw, washer and packer. The fixing screw (18) for the electroluminescent element passes through an oversized hole (19) in the support plaque (5). The fixing screw (24) for the transparent plaque (17) passes through oversize holes in the electroluminescent element (14) and the support plate (5). The oversize holes allow relative adjustment of element (14) and plaque (5).
