Abstract

The unit uses the ground as the heat sink, and introduces thermal energy into it from an energy receiver. A primary pipe circuit (20) connected to the receiver and incorporating a coil is passed through the ground, while a second pipe circuit (22) is connected to the consumer unit. This likewise incorporates a coil at a short distance from the first one and passed through the ground. A heat-insulating casing (16) encloses the coils, beign clear of them both in the sideways and upwards directions. The two coils can be mounted on a support of metal or plastic, in mat, cloth or mesh form.
