Abstract

Equipment feeding small work-pieces to a station where they are manually assembled together includes two driven endless conveying chains or belt conveyors mounted parallel to each other and some distance apart. Between the conveyors are suspended carriers in the form of tray racks for the work-pieces. In the removal position of the work-pieces from the trays, the return runs of the conveying chains are in a horizontal plane. Adjoining the horizontal paths of the conveying chains are paths leading downwards and backwards. The paths of the conveying chains located above the horizontal runs are downwardly inclined in a front direction. This arrangement enables the operative to take work-pieces from a comfortable position using small arm movement.
