Abstract

The vessel has an opening with which a cover engages by relative rotation between them in one direction allowed by locking devices on both. The part of the vessel or cover with the locking device can be torn off along a weakened strip so as to allow rotation in the other direction and removal of the cover. The strip can be of reduced thickness compared with the areas alongside it, and with openings in it. There can be a transverse weakened area aiding the start of the break in the lengthwise direction, together with a tear-off lug. The fixing devices on vessel and cover can consist of screw threads, and the locking devices of a series of teeth.
