Abstract

The self-sealing fitting has a sealing body, which is movable relative to a valve seat. A sealing element cooperates with a seat, one part being conical. A relief chamber borders on the sealing body, and is in contact with the inlet socket of the tap via a compensation nozzle. The rear surface of the sealing element (8) away from the valve seat (9) limits a chamber (11), which is closed relative to the valve seat side. The chamber is connected to the relief chamber (6). The sealing body (4) has support ribs (14), with a stop, formed by a shoulder (15) on the valve seat. The lower end of the valve piston (4) has a groove (12) with a O-ring seal (8) which, together with the groove base, forms the chamber (11).
