Abstract

The chain wheel is for use with the chain drives of agricultural machinery and the tooth (1) is specially shaped to prevent clogging by straw or compost. The tooth (1) has a central gap with parallel faces to receive a link which lies in the plane of the wheel. The flanks (6) of the tooth are provided with concave recesses to receive the semi-circular ends of the adjoining links. A deep recess (7) is provided between successive teeth and the bottom (8) of the recess (7) runs into the bottom (9) of the central gap in the tooth (1).
