Abstract

The machine receives a bundle (16) of metal bars and separates them for feeding into a processing machine. It has two sets of belts, one (2) running horizontally over end pulleys (5, 6) which are fixed in position. One belt of the second set (1) is positioned between two of the first set. This second set has fixed pulleys (9) at one end and at the end, the pulleys (12) are moved vertically by a rotating cam (14). The second set moves in the opposing direction to the first set and at a different speed. The bars contact each set alternatively and are spread out, progressing to one end.
