Abstract

An insulated test probe is used to inject or pick off signals in an electrical circuit. A pointed tip enables it to pass through insulation of protected conductors while a clamp frees the operator for other necessary operations. A test probe comprises a shaft (1) with a sharp point (11). A second shaft (2) with hooked end (21) has its extremity retracted w.r.t the first shaft. Both shafts are inserted into a conducting tube (5) and soldered (31). a connecting wire (6) connected to the tube permits transmission or reception of signals. The tube is covered by an insulated layer (4) and a protective sleeve (5).
