Abstract

The thermoplastic cap is moulded with a small hollow tube projecting inwards centrally from its closed end. The sealing ring is placed in position round this tube, whose edges are then spread by heating until they hold the sealing ring in place, without encroaching on the part needed for the sealing. The tool applying the heat allows the heat intensity to be varied. The sealing ring is held more securely in place at the bottom of the valve cap.
