Abstract

The pack-carrying frame (10) is bent from a single length of light alloy tubing into an M-configuration. The tube ends (20) and lower tip (16) are supported by suitable devices fitted to the padded belt (30) worn by the user. The lower tip (16) fits into pocket (32) on the belt and the two tube ends (20) are inserted through rings (37). The ends carry rings (31) with attached straps (34). The other ends of the strap is fixed to the rings (37). Hereby the ends are supported by the belt, but at the same time have a certain amount of sliding play within the rings (37). The upper tips (24) are fitted to shoulder straps (42) with lower ends connecting to the belt.
