Abstract

Detecting and distributing device comprises a central platform arranged between two vertical walls. A dynamometer cell is mounted between a distance-piece, fixed to an I-beam and a stirrup with uprights. A coil is fixed to the fork-shaped support; the coil is fitted with a plunger connected to the lever by an articulated link. One end of the lever is fixed tothe rod and the other end is connected to the release bar. The cable carries stirrups with wheels running on the flange of the I-beam track. Each stirrup has a suspending arm which holds a bird until it is released by the bar, if its wt. is e.g., 900-1350 g. The bird is weighed by the dynamometer cell which is connected via the control box to an electronic commutator and the coil. The device has a relatively high degree of precision but needs only the min. of supervision and maintenance. Vibrations in the plant have only a minimal effect on the weighing mechanism.
