Abstract

The flow regulator for a plastics tube, is a screw-jack (1, 2) with a round nosed cone (C) to bear on the tube (12). The cone is forced down onto the tube and deforms the circular section into a crescent deformation obtains optimum results with plastics tubing. The regulator may have a cylindrical body (4) mounted on a base plate (1). The inside (5) is rounded to locate the tube. The top of the chamber is internally threaded (15) for the externally threaded (14) plug with a knurled head (2) and embodying the cone (C).
