Abstract

The adjustable support leg for caravans has an outer tubular metal casing (5) welded to the main towing bar (3). The casing has a closed top(12) with a central hole, and an open bottom. A screw (10) passes through the hole and threads into the top plate (9) of a slidking inner tube (8). The sliding tube has a further fixed inner sleeve (26) with a closed top (27). The shaft (22) of the support wheel slide within the sleeve and has a helical spring compressed between its top circular flange (23) and the top of the sleeve. The spring acts as suspension between the wheel and caravan, and protects the support leg if it touches the ground while being towed.
