Abstract
The steering gear for a boat includes a linkage arrangement which can be switched over from control by an automatic pilot to an automatic steering gear operated by wind pressure. The wind operated system has a flap (1) at the top, swung sideways, about a horizontal spindle (2) by the wind, and a rudder (14) at the bottom, swinging about a vertical spindle (20). This spindle (20) has an tension (10) with z horizontal part (24) which is sifted sideways by a crank arm arrangement (19, 8, 9) then a second track arm arrangement (7, 6) connected to the top spinle 2). Alongside the first crank arrangement is an arm (16) connected to the output end of a miniature motor (18) which is connected to the output of the automatic pilot. This arm (16) can be connect the motor of the crank.
