Abstract

The system corrects the metering of the fuel/air mixture having one or more gas intake connected to the inlet manifold downstream of the throttle determining the air quantity. A valve regulates the gas supply, and is controlled by the vacuum in a venturi upstream of the throttle via a canister whose diaphragm, subjected to the action of a return spring, is affected by the vacuum as modulated by an electrically-operated valve. The opening of the latter valve is controlled by a probe in the exhaust manifold, supplying a current varying with the composition of the exhaust gases. This current is used in an electronic circuit regulating operation of the valve.
