Abstract

The base (5) of the container (3) is approximately M shaped in cross section, its middle point being level with the bottom of the legs (6) and having raduised corners. The circumference of the base is heat sealed (8) to the inner walls (4) of the container and the annular convolution formed is filled with expanded plastic foam (9) for rigidity. The outer walls (2) of the container, opposite the base circumference, are reinforced by a band (12) of heat shrinkable plastic around them. A similar band is used further up to strengthen the sides of the container against the internal pressure. After use, the container is disposed of by crushing.
