Abstract

The unit operates with a high frequency alternating magnetic field, formed by a.c. passing through an inductive circuit below the insulating plate. The inductive circuit (2) is formed on several U-shaped ferrite cores (3), with the bottom part of the U positioned under the turns of the inductor circuit (2) and with the arms pointing upwards one on either side of the inductor circuit. The insulating plate (1) is placed over the ferrite cores (3) so that when a metal cooking vessel is placed on the plate, the magnetic circuit is closed via the vessel.
