Abstract

The lubricating oil contains as active component an esterification product of an alkylene oxide adduct with an alkanediol containing 10-22 C atoms and a straight-chain carboxylic acid having 10-22 C atoms or a mixture of such carboxylic acids, dissolved or dispersed in water or an organic solvent. The advantages of this lubricating oil are an outstanding adhesion characteristic and antielectrostatic action. The lubricating oil is particularly suitable as a finishing agent for synthetic fibres, but can also be used for any desired other fibres and fibre blends.
