Abstract

Lubricating compsns. based on polysiloxanes contain a small amt. of polar cpds. (I) which are absorbed onto the surface to be lubricated and give it a critical wetting tension lower than the surface tension of the polysiloxane lubricant. Lubricating properties under high pressures and at low speeds are improved and wetting of the surface is prevented so that the lubricant remains in place.
