Abstract

Aq. soln. of desired concn. is formed by passing water through a reverse osmosis column which retains 100% of pyrogenic matl. and by hen passing the water through a steriliser which eliminates 100% of bacterial matl. either before or after mixing the water with a desired matl., or a soln. of he matl. in a relatively high concn. Used for prepn. of medical soln. of desired concn., e.g. for peritoneal dialysis, bladder irrigation and intravenous use. Allows storage of medical soln. in highly concd. form and easy make up to desired concn. by water treated to remove all deleterious substances.
