Abstract

Maternity trousers, or other articles of clothing such as skirt, blouse, etc. allowing adjustment of waist size as desired, comprise in the abdominal region a gusset which becomes wider towards the waist, and means for adjusting the degree of opening of the gusset. The adjustment means may consist of a belt section and two rings attached to the waistband of the trousers on each side of the gusset, each end of the belt section coacting with one of the rings. Alternatively, one end of the belt section may be stitched to the waistband of the trousers on one side of the gusset, while a ring is attached to the waistband on the other side for coacting with the free end of the belt section.
