Abstract

The headlamp (12) is mounted on the body (10) with one fixed pivot and one movable one, controlled by a threaded adjuster (19). The threaded adjuster is threaded through the bottom end of a control lever yoke (17) pivotted on the body by a central pivot (15) while the other end (18) is spaced from the body by a special control cam (34). The cam is operated by a hand lever (32) so that the headlamp can be set in one of several settings by hand. This allows the driver to reset the headlamps to compensate for different loadings. The whole system is simple and economic to fit.
