Abstract

The nibbling device (1) for the rounding off and deburring of edges on gear wheels (2) is distinguished by having teeth of hollow profile (2) and constructed from one part or of two parts joined and opposite to each other. The tool outer edges act onto the sides of the gear wheel teeth into which it engages and affects the chamfering. The gear wheels can be cylindrical or conical with straight or helical teeth. Burrs are removed which were existing or caused by the chamfering, the device consists of discs (12) carried on elastic arms (13).
