Abstract

The valve consists of a body (1) with inlet and outlet tubes (2, 3) and a disc (4) mounted on a shaft (6). The valve is closed by engaging the disc against a seat (7). The body has a rectangular opening (12) on the top, on which is mounted the shaft support. To remove the disc, it is rotated to a suitable position (14) from where it can be lifted out through the opening.
