Abstract

The spring-loaded valve body of the isolating valve is pressurised on the spring side from the brake line to the trailer and on the opposite side from the control line of the towing vehicle brake. The isolating valve contains a shut-off element and the pressure chamber formed by the shut-off element is connected with the brake chamber with the control valve of the trailer. The isolating valve may form an integral part of the trailer control valve. If an advance arrangement is used on the trailer control valve, the valve of the advance arrangement is at the same time designed as a shut-off element of the isolating valve.
