Abstract
The float assembly consists of a pair of cylinders, which float horizontally side by side. The floats are joined by steel ribbing and bracing. The submerged fin Keels are fitted under the interconnecting bracing to give the floats stability while being towed. The floats may be towed in pairs. Each float is able to support a submerged object hanging by a carrying cable, with provision for monitoring cables. An alternative with a single wide float fitted with parallel fin Keels gives greater buoyancy for heavier submerged objects.
