Abstract

A height adjuster for furniture has a foot member (B) screwed into a threaded sleeve (11) secured to an angle iron (22) for attaching the foot member to the part of the furniture which is to rest on the ground. The foot member itself has a polygonal hole (16) or other engagement means which can be reached from above by an operating tool, which can rotate the foot member (13) relative to the sleeve (11). This sleeve, the fastening plate (18) flange (20) and sides (21), all belonging to the angle iron (22), are all shaped from one piece of sheet metal wherein first the thread (12) of the sleeve is stamped, then the plate for the angle iron is cut out and the resultant blank is bent to form the angle iron and sleeve.
