The particles are of polylobal (2-5, pref. 3, lobes) cross section shape, where na) shape of lobe is defined by circules (each having equal xia.), (b) the centres of the circles are spaced from each other by 3/8-15/16 dias. of circles. The pref. particles are of di- and tri-lobal shape, and the catalyst metals may also be promoted with chloride ions.
