Abstract

The cap has a distorting seal portion on the underside bearing against the mouth of the bottle, and a snap-type actuator opening and closing it. It fits (2) over the outside of the mouth, and pivots by means of a link (4) on a sleeve (1) fitted over the bottle neck below the mouth. It is secured in place by a locking ring (3), pivoting with it on the sleeve, and detachably secured to the latter on the opposite side in the closed position. Ring and cap are joined to each other by a bridge piece (5) on the same side as the pivot mounting. Pivoting movement of the ring in relation to the cap can be restricted by a flexible rib (6) between them on the opposite side to the bridge piece.
