Abstract

The periodic or random generator system consists of a random pulse generator (1) whose output is gated (4) through to a control interface (5) by signals from a preselect counter (3) also coupled to the output of the pulse generator. the interface delivers outputs that are compatible with various output circuits, such as registers and displays. The random pulses generator system consists of a white noise generator supplying a shift register. The random generator system is for medical use, e.g. when human and animal nervous systems require random stimulation, but also require pulses of fixed period.
