Abstract

The device applies an extrea spring load to the accelerator pedal and can be adjusted to suit the driver's requirements. A tube which is threaded over its whole length encloses a spring (13) between a fixed end cap (14) and an adjustable end cap (15). By screwing the central rod (23) into the tubular rod (24) the pre-set load on the spring can be adjusted. The outer end cap (11) carries a nut (24) with a hook (25) attached to a chain (26) connected to the accelerator pedal. By screwing the complete assembly in or out of the boss (2) the point in the travel of the accelerator pedal at which the load is applied can be adjusted.
