Abstract

A single strip (1) of cardboard is cut to a width slightly less than that of the contents and folded along three transversal lines. The folded strip forms both ends, a top (7) and a bottom (6) for the packing, the two ends of the strip meeting at 90 deg. The strip encloses the contents, leaving both sides (9) open for inspection of the contents. The assembly is wrapped in a covering (2) of heat shrinkable transparent plastic film which grips the packed items (8) and holds them tightly to prevent movement. Labelling is not required for identification and other versions using the same principle are possible.
