Abstract

The cheque has a fingerprint plate and means for protecting this position from contacts occurring before or after printing. Protection is effected by a flap (1c) joined to the cheque to cover the plate (2) by a connection which is breakable. The connection can be restored after the digital imprint has been made. The imprint position can be a portion of the cheque surface itself, and its surface can be impregnated with a commodity aiding the display of fingerprints. The sheet can have a glued surface (5) to allow it to be stuck down onto the cheque again.
