Abstract

The boiler gives complete burning of the wood, there being an enclosing cone maintained at very high temperature by the combustion gases. These gases are supplied by nozzles delivering controlled secondary air, regulated by a distributor with shutters. The shutters are independent, controlled by small chains of different lengths, providing a minimum of one hot-air nozzle supplying the furnace. Closure of this prevents the boilder bursting, giving complete safety of the system. There can be a half ring halfway up the cone, enabling the combustion gas circuit to be extended and thus improve the rate of heat exchange.
