Abstract

The disposable baby's nappy has lateral cut-outs defining the inter-leg area, allowing the unit two follow body contours without creasing etc. and inhibition of absorption pad efficiency. The nappy is rectangular and has an impermeable outer sheath with absorbent padding core and porous inner layer. Cut-outs are provided symmetrically in the padding and locally in the flanks of the unit, or within the padding and down the entire unit flanks, double creases further defining the inter-leg width. Once the nappy is in position the creases are extended to fasten the unit in position round the infant's lower trunk.
