Abstract

The device conducts static electricity generated in the human body, particularly by clothing of synthetic fibres, to earth, thus alleviating various disorders caused by it. It comprises two metal pieces inserted in the sole of the shoe, typically the heel. These parts can be electrically and mechanically interconnected by a metal spring in the form of a flexible blade or a coil. Magnetic ferrite can be inserted in both the metal pieces, and the sole itself can be of electrically conductive material.
