Abstract

The container (1) has one end narrowed down to form a neck (3) used for filling. At this end is fixed a foot (2) which is a tapered circular sleeve projecting beyond the neck. The other end has an annular groove (6), just below its edge, providing a location for a rib (7) on a flat cap (4) closing off this end. During the filling operation the container is positioned on its cap end and after filling, the neck is permanently sealed by a cap (5). To use, the cap is pulled off by means of a pull tab (8) and the container rests on the foot.
