Abstract

The control incorporates a servo unit to assist the effort of the driver, the unit being in the form of an amplifier (12) exerting no opposing force when actuated. A spring component (5) having a toggle action is also included its strength decreasing after a particular maximum force is exceeded. The control is particularly convenient for when waiting at traffic lights, in addition to which the effort required to operate the clutch remains constant over a long period, irrespective of lining wear.
