Abstract

The pop up mechanism comprises a flat face (1) attached to a side flap (7). The first face has a triangular flap (4) underneath, this having a rectangular flap (8) on the hypotenuse side. The flaps (4, 8) fold inside the first two (1, 7). An elastic band (11) stretches between notches in the second face and the flap. The first face (1) is glued to a pop up feature and the triangular flap (4) to the inside face of a folder. Closing the folder stretches the band and when the folder is opened, the feature pops up to emphasise a printed message.
